We invite passionate and forward-thinking academics to apply for the position of Senior Lecturer: Hospitality and Tourism and contribute to shaping the future of the field through innovative teaching, research, and industry engagement.?Key Performance AreasDeliver effective and high-quality teaching, learning experiences, and assessments; supervise student research projects; contribute to departmental administration and governance, actively participate in curriculum development and review processes; engage in research activities and develop a robust portfolio of publications; participate in relevant departmental, faculty, and university committees to support institutional goals; assist in the selection and registration of students, ensuring alignment with academic standards; provide capacity-building services to the community, fostering outreach and engagement and fulfil any additional reasonable tasks and responsibilities as assigned by superiors.?Job RequirementsA Master’s degree (NQF Level 9) in Hospitality or Travel and Tourism Management with at least four years of lecturing and/or industrial experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). Competence to teach at least three of the following courses: Travel and Tour Operations Management, Fares and Ticketing (Amadeus); Quality Service Management for Hospitality and Tourism; Strategic Management for Hospitality and Tourism; Logistics and Supply Chain Management in the Tourism Industry; Cost Accounting for Hospitality and Tourism. Competence to establish professional networks and to maintain links with the industry.
