STS TECHNICIAN

- Grade 12 Certificate or National Senior Certificate (20 points over 5 subjects, and an E in English)
- National Diploma for Technicians, N6, T3, S4 or equivalent
- Two years experience as a qualified Technician in an industrial, Electronics, Telecommunications and/or Surveillance environment.
- Valid code B/BE driver's license (Manual Transmission with two-year driving experience)
- Computer Literacy: Basic MS Office package.
- Experience in the maintenance and support of Security Systems Management, IM Server environment, IP & wireless networks, CCTV systems, UPS and Solar power systems, Electronics, Access Control equipment, X-ray and baggage scanners, Security safe systems, Telecommunications and/or, Surveillance environment are highly recommended for this role.
- Supervisory experience, project management exposure and/or registration with a professional body will be added advantages.

- Knowledge of mining processes, risk management, Radiation Safety and Safety Awareness
- Sound understanding of IM Network infrastructure, Fiber & copper networks
- Sound understanding of IM Server environment
- Knowledge of Access Control, IP Surveillance, X-Ray scanners, wireless radio and telemetry systems.
- Knowledge of Solar, inverters and UPS systems will be an advantage
- Ability to work on High Mast Structures
