As part of our Quality Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of engineering solutions for complex projects. You will be responsible for the full coordination of Quality control for 3C Metal Belmet.Your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring sufficient coverage for all QC requirements across all projects without hindering production progress
Implementation and adherence of code requirements across standard workshop activity without deviation
Review and implementation of specific client requirements without deviation
Providing technical support and guidance to the production team
Training and developing the QC Inspector trainees
Ensuring ISO 90001 compliance

ProfileWe seek the ideal candidate profile with:Educational background:

Matric or NQF Level 3
NQF level 5 or 6 will be advantages
SAIW Welding Inspector Level 2 or equivalent
Qualification as a RT film interpreter will be advantages
Qualification as an LPT/MPT/UT/RT technician will be advantages

Industry knowledge:

10 years' experience as a QC inspector in either the heavy steel fabrication, onshore mining, energy generation, petrochemical or oil and gas industry.
Experience as an IPE will be advantages.

Essential skills:

Using various measuring equipment to a high degree of accuracy (high low gauges, gap gauges, micrometers, laser measuring devices, standard tape measure, etc.)

Essential technical skills:

In-depth knowledge of ISO 90001, AWS D1.1, ASME IX, and ASME B31.3
General understanding of DNV 2.7-1, ISO 17020, and ASME V
