Supervise and mentor research students, ensuring academic integrity and ethical practice. Lead curriculum development and review to maintain academic relevance and industry alignment. Conduct individual and collaborative research, build a strong publication record, and pursue external funding opportunities. Provide academic leadership, mentor junior staff, and foster a collaborative departmental environment. Contribute to governance through active participation in committees and support institutional quality assurance and strategic initiatives. Assist with student selection, registration, and advising in line with university policies. Lead outreach and capacity-building initiatives with community and industry partners and perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Head of Department or senior leadership.?Job RequirementsA Doctorate (NQF Level 10) in Human Resource Management with at least seven (7) years of lecturing experience at tertiary education level and/or industry experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). Proven competence in successful sourcing of research or project funding from third-party sources, successful initiation and management of research projects, curriculum development, and strong management/organisational and mentorship skills. Competence to teach at both under- and post-graduate levels, at least three of the following courses: Labour Relations, Strategic Change Management, Strategic Human Resource Management, Research Methodology, Mini-Thesis and Thesis. Competence to assume academic leadership, to establish professional networks, and to maintain links with industry, as well as experience in developing postgraduate programmes.
