To secure new business for AGL Namibia through targeted prospecting, client engagement, proposals, and estimates, with a strong focus on the following sectors: General Cargo, FMCG & Beverages, Telecommunications, Mining, Corridor Activities, Downstream Petroleum, and Aid & Relief. Achieve specified sales targets, ensure seamless onboarding of new clients, and maintain long-term, value-driven relationships.ProfileMarket Positioning & Promotion
- Actively promote Africa Global Logistics Namibia across all targeted sectors.
- Build brand presence in key industries, including General Cargo, FMCG & Beverages, Telecommunications, Mining, Corridor Activities, Downstream Petroleum, and Aid & Relief.
- Stay informed on industry trends, sector developments, market shifts, and competitor activities.
- Generate and qualify leads within assigned sectors and geographic corridors.
- Develop and execute tailored strategies to win new business and expand market share.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, estimates, presentations, and tender submissions.
- Open new business accounts in line with company procedures and compliance requirements.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients through regular meetings and service reviews.
- Respond promptly to operational, financial, and other client queries.
- Host client events and networking opportunities to strengthen partnerships.
- Develop and implement SOPs, SLAs, and related documentation for sector-specific client needs.
- Oversee the onboarding and operational handover for new accounts to ensure smooth service commencement.
- Manage and update Concerto (CRM) in line with company standards.
- Provide accurate weekly and monthly sales and performance reports to management and clients.
- Negotiate sector-relevant supplier rates to secure optimal pricing for client requirements.
- Share sector-specific insights, market intelligence, and best practices with internal teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, sector penetration, and client satisfaction.
- Grade 12 (essential).
- Minimum 3 years' proven sales track record, preferably in Clearing & Forwarding.
- Previous sales experience in any of the targeted sectors will be advantageous.
- Previous formal sales training required.
- Professional presentation and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret financial data, including budgets, financial statements, and P&L reports.
- Full computer literacy.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sector-specific sales plans.
